WHO ARE WE?

The Foundation for the fight against Diabetes and Non-Communicable Diseases (Fondation Diabete-MNT) is an apolitical and not for profit entity.

Established in 2015, The main mission of the Fondation Diabete-MNT is to contribute to the fight against diabetes and other major NCD’s in Guinea. The Fondation Diabète-MNT has the mission to promote the improvement of prevention and access to quality care for people with diabetes in Guinea. 

Our Objectives

  • Contribute to improving access and quality of care for people with Diabetes and non-communicable diseases 
  • Contribute to training, awareness and social mobilization around diabetes and non-communicable diseases.
  • Inform, educate and communicate on the rules of hygiene and good practices for the prevention of diabetes and non-communicable diseases.
  • Help promote equity in access to quality care for people with these diseases.
  • Organize counselling sessions.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary surveys within the framework of research on these diseases
  • Carry out biomedical, clinical and epidemiological research activities on diabetes and non-communicable diseases.

The sites we intervene in

Improving Access to care, including quality of care, health service delivery, is realized by the Fondation Diabète MNT’s through the mechanism of supporting essential integration of diabetes care packages in health services. The Fondation Diabète MNTs operates in all regions which includes Boké, Faranah, Kankan, Kindia, Labé, Mamou and Conakry. In cooperation with the Guinean health authorities, we work to ensure that high quality diabetes health care is available at all levels of care; in communities, health facilities, and hospitals along with referrals for complications.
